Who is responsible for making the name of the LORD great among the nations?
Most would answer: The Church.
Certainly there is truth in that answer. We have been commissioned by Jesus to go into the whole world and preach the good news of Christ's Kingdom. We have been given the promise of the Holy Spirit. He guides us in truth; transforms our character through His fruit; and empowers us with spiritual gifts. Jesus declared that even the gates of hell itself will not be able to stand against the Church's march.
But the best answer to the question of who has responsibility for making the name of the LORD great among the nations is this:
JESUS CHRIST HIMSELF!
He is King and He is on a throne right now. He is not disinterested or disengaged. He is sovereignly orchestrating the events for the end of this age. There is one thing that is certain. . .
HIS NAME WILL BE GREAT AMONG THE NATIONS!
The Malachi Network exists to join Him in this Holy purpose.
Values
Convergence
Jesus is bringing together the missions movement with the prayer movement.
Malachi 1: “In every place incense (the prayers of God’s people) and pure offerings (obedience to God’s mission) will be brought to my name, because my name will be great among the nations.” v. 11b
Training
Leaders trained in missions and prayer will have the resources to endure at the end of the age.
Malachi 2: “For the lips of a priest ought to preserve knowledge, and from his mouth men should seek instruction—because he is the messenger of the Lord Almighty.” v.7
Preparation
Like the ministry of John the Baptist, Jesus is raising up a forerunner generation to prepare the earth for His return.
Malachi 3: “See, I will send my messenger, who will prepare the way before me. Then suddenly the Lord you are seeking will come to his temple.” v. 1
Mentoring
Fathers and mothers, sons and daughters. . . Christ’s kingdom is advanced through men and women who invest in the next generation with time and love.
Malachi 4: “He (the prophet) will turn the hearts of the fathers to their children, and the hearts of the children to their fathers…” v. 6
Mission
Training young leaders in mission and prayer
We will provide training intensives on the following themes:
1). Theology of Mission
2). The History of Radical Prayer
3). The Role of the Intercessory Missionary
4). Apostolic Foundations in Ministry
5). Ecclesiology – Life Together
6). Cross Cultural Ministry
7). The Forerunner Calling
Mobilizing church planters and missionaries
Here is a definition for mobilization: To be released so a substance can be used by the body.
We will build relationships with church planters and missionaries and then work to release them to the larger Body of Christ world-wide.
We are looking for humble leaders who will minister with a spirit of interdependence. Leaders who pray first and pray hard. Young men and women who know God's Word: both the Holy Scriptures and the Holy Son.
Covering leaders and their families both practically and spiritually
We will care for families through prayer, prophetic encouragement and administrative support. We will take seriously the call to cover young leaders and their families with love, integrity and spiritual authority. We will stay connected through both technology and face to face meetings.
